Kirsty Edwards
Kirsty is an avid baker, who grew up around food as her parents used to run a guest house. She, her siblings and her parents each had their own pigs and lambs when she was younger.
Kirsty agrees that knowing about food whilst she was growing up (where meat comes from, how meals are prepared, etc) shaped her healthy appetite and appreciation for good meals.
Like her mother, Kirsty enjoys baking and she creates treats at least once a week, bringing in treats for her colleagues to share. Kirsty enjoys cooking both sweet and savoury dishes, but likes the fact that sweet dishes can be shared with family and friends more easily.
Kirsty has recently bought her own flat, which she takes pride in. Especially her amazing kitchen which helped to reignite her love for cooking and baking.
Kirsty enjoys preparing delights for people – throwing dinner parties, taking part in baking competitions at work, baking for charity, etc. Her office is currently doing a baking session to raise money for the DEC for the Haiti Earthquake. Kirsty will be making pink muffins.
Kirsty enjoys making Banoffee pie with Carnation Caramel and American-style cookies with Carnation Condensed Milk.
Kirsty has always used Carnation products since she started baking when she was growing up. It was a staple in her family cupboard.
Chocolate roulade or any muffin / cake are Kirsty’s favourite desserts.
