Halloween Graveyard Cake
Give your family a treat this Halloween with this deliciously creepy, Graveyard Cake!Look out for Halloween icing decorations or ghoulish sweets to top on your cake for a spooktacular centre piece!
Buttery baking spread*
Large eggs, beaten
Self-raising flour
Baking powder
Tub readymade chocolate icing
Nestlé Breakaway biscuits
Halloween sweets (optional)
Writing icing
*Recipe based on 70% fat buttery baking spread
You will also need…
20cm (8inch) cake tin, lined with baking paper
Step 1 of 4
Preheat the oven to 180°C, (160°C for fan ovens), Gas Mark 4.
Step 2 of 4
Place all the cake ingredients into a large bowl and beat (use an electric hand whisk if you have one!) until pale and creamy.
Step 3 of 4
Pour into the cake tin and bake for about 55-65 minutes until springy. Cool in the tin for a minute, and then turn out on a cake rack.
Step 4 of 4
When cool, put the cake on a plate and cover with the icing. Cut the biscuit ‘tombstones’ in half and write spooky words on with white icing. Make small cuts into the cake and carefully put the tombstones into the cake!
